MODULE SUMMARY

From values to action.

The five modules take learners from understanding values and serving others to caring for the environment, looking after their own well-being and knowing how to support someone who may be struggling.

There is time to talk, think, practise and take action. The aim is simple: help young people use what they learn in everyday life.

Each two-hour module combines classroom discussion with practical activities and examples that relate to everyday life in Zambia.

MODULE 01

National Values and Principles

WHAT YOU WILL LEARN

Explore Zambia's national values, patriotism, good governance and responsible citizenship.

Use these values when making everyday decisions at school, at home and in the community.

Generosity, Volunteerism, and Community Service

Learn how generosity, volunteering and active citizenship can help address problems in the community.

Keep Zambia Clean, Green and Healthy

Learn how sanitation, waste, pollution and the environment affect the health of our communities.

Put simple environmental practices into use, including waste sorting, tree care and community clean-up.

Demonstrations, a community walk, practical clean-up work and a personal pledge.

Suicide Prevention

Learn to recognise possible warning signs and respond safely when someone may be in serious distress.
